On 23rd Dec 2021, PT. MIPCON PRIMA INDUSTRI (MPI) had completed the Project named “Reactivation and Relocation Dehydration Unit PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan at Pangkalan Susu field North Sumatera”. The Project is owned by PT. Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) asset 1.
The Dehydration Unit is a facility which functioning to remove water content from natural gas by contacting the gas with Tri Ethylene Glycol (TEG).
The scope of the Project is to relocate and reactivate the DHU in Hamparan Perak site to Pangkalan Batu site.
Through a deep processing study, MPI has adapted a processing system, in order to meet the designed operating condition, therefore the DHU able to operate at new location eventhough the gas specification is different in the potential new location in Pangkalan Batu.
There are few equipment and auxiliaries which is part of the DHU skid need to be dismantled, refurbished, re assembled such as Gas Contactor, Flash Drum, Glycol Heat Exchanger, Reboiler, Still Column, Stripping Column, Surge Drum, Glycol Circulating Pump, Carbon Filter, Solid Filter.
The Project has effectively start on June 2021 after the contractual effective date on 24 Mei 2021 with the duration of 210 calendar days. Finally on 20th until 23rd December 2021, after 3 days Performance Test, the Project has officially declared completed after the achievement of Performance Test and Handed Over to PHR successfully. This is also one of the PHR’s achievement in optimalization of their unactive asset and produce more sales gas. The acceptance criteria of the DHU to produce gas with water content is below 10 lb/ mmscf of water content.
